The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Fact Check unit has flagged as “fake” certain social media posts and news reports claiming the existence of an alleged Iran donation scam in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a post on X, the MEA Fact Check unit, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, cautioned the public against circulating or believing such “false and baseless claims” being shared online. The post carried screenshots of viral reports, clearly stamped as “FAKE,” to counter misinformation.

The advisory urged citizens to remain vigilant and rely only on verified and authentic sources of information, warning that the spread of unverified content can create confusion and unnecessary panic. (KNC)
