Appointments Committee of the Cabinet sanctions transfers and new postings in various central ministries

New Delhi, Mar 31 (KNC): The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) on Tuesday approved a series of high-level appointments and transfers of IAS officers across key ministries of the Government of India, as per a release issued by the Secretariat of the ACC.

As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Among the notable appointments, Ms. Nivedita Shukla Verma, IAS (UP:91), currently Secretary of the Department of Chemicals and Petro-Chemicals, has been appointed Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, with additional charge of the Department of Pensions and Pensioners Welfare.

Other major postings include Shri Chanchal Kumar, IAS (BH:92), appointed Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting; Shri Narendra Bhooshan, IAS (UP:92), as Secretary, Department of Land Resources; Shri Srivatsa Krishna, IAS (KN:94), as Secretary, Ministry of Minority Affairs; and Shri Bhuvnesh Kumar, IAS (UP:95), as Secretary, Ministry of Tourism.

Several officers have also received temporary promotions or in-situ upgradations to the level of Special Secretary in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India. These include Shri Sanjay Rastogi, IAS (OR:91), and Shri Sajjan Singh Yadav, IAS (AGMUT:95).

The ACC-approved changes are part of routine administrative reshuffles aimed at strengthening governance across ministries, ensuring continuity, and leveraging experienced officers in strategic departments. (KNC)
