Sopore, Apr 10 :
An 8-year-old girl died after being attacked by a stray dog in the Seloo area of Sopore in north Kashmir on Friday, officials said.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the incident occurred when the minor had gone to her family land, where she was suddenly attacked by a stray dog.
He said the girl sustained critical injuries in the attack. The deceased has been identified as Aiman Adnan Sheikh (08), daughter of Adnan Ahmad Sheikh, a resident of Seloo, Sopore.
He added that she was rushed for medical treatment but succumbed to her injuries.
Meanwhile, investigation has been taken up.—(KNO)
