Warn against sharing unverified content

Sopore, Apr 15 :

Sopore Police on Wednesday registered a case against certain individuals for allegedly circulating rumours and misleading information on social media with the intent to disturb public order.

An official statement as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), stated: “FIR No. 93/2026 has been lodged at Police Station Sopore against individuals involved in spreading rumours and misleading information. Further investigation into the matter is underway.”

Sopore Police have advised the general public to refrain from creating, sharing or amplifying unverified content on social media, warning that such actions will attract legal consequences—(KNO)
