Speaking to media persons, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Itoo said, “We have ordered an inquiry into the child’s death at GMC Anantnag; patient care cannot be compromised. If any doctor is found negligent, strict action will follow. I express condolences to the family; the truth will be established after thorough investigation.”
She reiterated that patient care remains a top priority and cannot be compromised under any circumstances. The Minister assured that those found responsible, if any, will be dealt with strictly.
Itoo further said that she has sought an explanation from the Principal GMC and Medical Superintendent regarding the incident and the availability of doctors at the time. “They informed that senior doctors were present at that time, but the question remains what exactly happened.
