Srinagar, May 09 :

Director General of Police (DGP) J&K Nalin Prabhat on Friday reviewed the counter-terrorism operations in South Kashmir during a high-level security meeting attended by senior officers of the police, Army and paramilitary forces.

The review meeting was attended by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) XV Corps, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Zone, GOC Victor Force, and other senior officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Police and Rashtriya Rifles (RR).

During the meeting, the officers discussed the prevailing security scenario in South Kashmir and assessed the ongoing counter-terror operations in the region. The DGP emphasized close coordination among all security agencies to ensure effective anti-terror operations and maintenance of peace and stability.

The meeting also focused on strengthening intelligence-sharing mechanisms and reviewing operational preparedness to tackle security challenges in the Valley.(KNC)
