New Delhi, May 22:
The Election Commission on Friday announced that elections for 24 Rajya Sabha seats across 10 states will be held on June 18.
According to the poll body, the elections are being conducted as the terms of several sitting Rajya Sabha members are set to expire between June 21 and July 19.
As per the schedule, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Karnataka will witness polling for four seats each, while Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan will go to polls for three seats each. Two Rajya Sabha seats will be filled from Jharkhand, while Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram will each elect one member.
