Anantnag, June 2 :
A tragic incident occurred in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday when a tree, uprooted by strong gusty winds, fell on a couple in the Ganjiwara area of Janglat Mandi, resulting in the death of the husband and injuries to his wife.
According to reports, the couple was passing through the area when the tree suddenly collapsed amid turbulent weather conditions. The impact left both of them seriously injured, prompting an immediate rescue operation by locals and authorities.
The injured couple was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. However, despite efforts by doctors, the husband succumbed to his injuries. His wife, who also sustained injuries in the incident, is currently receiving treatment.
