Dr Parvaiz: Researcher from Pulwama features in world’s top one percent scientists

Pulwama, November 26 :

A researcher from Pulwama has been named in the top one percent researchers worldwide.

Dr Parvaiz Ahmad a resident of Payar Pulwama who has completed his MSc in Botany from Hamdard University New Delhi and later PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi (IITD) and presently working as Assistant Professor at GDC boys in Pulwama has been named on the annual highly cited researchers 2021 list clarivate, web of science and publon, the three prestigious international organizations.

Dr Parvaiz while talking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that his research is based on environmental stress and plant adaptation.

Parvaiz said that he has published his research papers with international publishers like Elsevier, Springer, John Wiley and other eminent publishers.

“I am working on how to make land productive which has become unfertile due to excessive use of fertilizers. Besides, I am also working with the limited land available for production on how to feed the growing population in the world,” he said.

Parvaiz said such ranking is being given after they go through your work for the last 10 years.

He said that after deforestation continues, it will have very harmful environmental hazards and common people must avoid excessive use of inorganic fertilizers but should use organic fertilizers.

It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Parvaiz has been included in the top two percent scientists of 2021 by standard university, California United States of America besides that he was also listed in the top 2 percent list of scientists provided by Stanford University, Stanford California, United States of America—(KNO)
