Srinagar, June 19 :
A Pakistani national, identified as Asad Khan, a resident of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan, who was apprehended in Simari village of Kupwara district after allegedly crossing the Line of Control (LoC) on June 12, was repatriated to Pakistan on June 18.
According to officials, Asad Khan had crossed into Indian territory and was subsequently taken into custody by security forces. During his stay in India, he was treated in accordance with humanitarian principles and provided necessary care.
Officials stated that his safe repatriation was carried out following the completion of required procedures. The move reflects adherence to established protocols and humanitarian considerations in handling such cases.
The repatriation was facilitated through coordinated efforts of the concerned agencies, ensuring a smooth and safe return of the individual to Pakistan.
