Renowned poets, writers and scholars from across the Valley participate in grand literary gathering; journalist Nazim Nazir honoured with Shani Sahafat Award.

RAFIABAD, June 29:

The 21st Literary Conference of Dabistan-e-Adab Rafiabad was held with great enthusiasm at Government Degree College Hadipora on 27 June Saturday, bringing together eminent poets, writers, scholars and literary enthusiasts from across the Kashmir Valley to celebrate the region’s rich literary and cultural heritage.
The conference was presided over by noted scholar and literary figure Prof. Naseem Rafiabadi. Among those present on the dais were Principal of Government Degree College Hadipora, Prof. Tariq Ahmad, Maqbool Ferozi, Dr. Rayaz Rabbani, Ghulam Rasool Aagay and several other distinguished guests.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from prominent literary personalities, who presented their poetry and literary works before an appreciative audience. The conference was conducted in a dignified and intellectually enriching atmosphere, reflecting Dabistan-e-Adab Rafiabad’s continued commitment to the promotion of Kashmiri language, literature and culture.
The proceedings were skilfully conducted by noted writer and literary activist Mushtaq Kirmani, while eminent journalist Anzer Mohju also participated in the mushaira.
Among the prominent poets and writers who attended the conference were Bashir Tameel, Maqbool Ferozi, Mushtaq Kirmani, Majrooh Kashmiri, Jawhar Ramzan, Khushbash Rafiabadi, Dr. Rayaz Rabbani, Dilnawaz Khan, Hassan Ajmi and several other distinguished literary figures from different parts of the Valley.
On the occasion, a number of awards and honours were presented in recognition of outstanding literary contributions. The prestigious “Shani Sahafat” Award was conferred upon noted journalist and Editor of Tameel Irshad, Nazim Nazir, in recognition of his remarkable services to journalism and literature.
The participants commended the efforts of Dabistan-e-Adab Rafiabad for its sustained contribution towards preserving and promoting the Kashmiri language, literature and cultural traditions through such meaningful literary initiatives.
