Srinagar November 27 :

Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum has expressed concern over what it called the discrimination in the eligibility criteria on the basis of any relational linkage to militancy for JK candidates and dropping them despite having merit. Chairman JKCSF Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani referring to the fourth class recruitments vide advertisement number GAD/Mtg/RB-IV/50/2020 dated 22-06-2020 a requisition for 8575 posts pertaining to various departments under special special recruitment, said that govt after completing the whole process of interviews has decided not to consider those selected candidates for the jobs who pertain any relational linkage to the militancy by virtue of their parental relationships.
JKCSF expressed its utmost surprise over the govts attitude towards these selected candidates for theirs no sin.” if any candidate’s parent or any relative was linked to the militancy in this conflict ridden state, what sin of his kith and kin to punish him or her by depriving him or her of the livelihood when he or she is meritorious to earn it” said Wani.
JKCSF urges upon the govt to rollback any such circular which deprives the selected or meritorious candidates of the recruitment on the meager grounds of relational linkage with militancy because job seeking is the right of every meritorious candidate who has sought education and training.
