Over 150 representatives adopt resolution at Srinagar meeting chaired by Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah

Srinagar, July 7:

More than 150 representatives from various sections of Jammu and Kashmir’s civil society on Tuesday unanimously called for the immediate restoration of full statehood to the Union Territory, adopting a resolution at a meeting held at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar.
The meeting was presided over by JKNC President Dr. Farooq Abdullah and the Union Territory’s Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah. Representatives from diverse segments of civil society participated in the deliberations.
The resolution urged the Union Government to restore full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir without any further delay, describing the demand as a collective aspiration cutting across different sections of society.
Participants said the resolution reflected the unanimous voice of the civil society representatives present at the meeting and reaffirmed the broad-based demand for the immediate restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.
