Baramulla Police Conducts Multi-Location Searches in UAPA Case, Seizes Electronic Devices for Forensic Analysis
Baramulla, July 09, 2026:
As part of the ongoing investigation into FIR No. 43/2026 registered under Section 13 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and Section 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Police Station Baramulla, Baramulla Police today conducted coordinated searches at multiple locations in Baramulla.
In a press Statement issued here reads,that The searches were carried out at the residences of:
1.Faraz Ashraf Gojri S/o Mohammad Ashraf Gojri, R/o Iqbal Colony, Baramulla.
2.Waseem Ali Kar S/o Ali Mohammad Kar, R/o Kanli Bagh, Baramulla.
3.Tanveer Ahmad Mir @ Kaka Mir S/o Abdul Rashid Mir, R/o Tawheed Gunj, Baramulla, presently residing at Gulnar Park, Azad Gunj.
4.Waseem Hussain Mir S/o Mohammad Hussain Mir, R/o Khawajabagh Jetty, Baramulla.
During the searches, four mobile phones and one laptop were seized. The electronic devices have been secured for forensic examination to aid the ongoing investigation.
The searches were conducted strictly in accordance with the provisions of law, in the presence of Executive Magistrates and independent witnesses, as part of the investigation into the case. These proceedings form part of Baramulla Police’s sustained efforts to investigate offences related to unlawful activities in a professional, lawful, and transparent manner while safeguarding public order and national security.
