Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday expressed grief over separate incidents, extending condolences to the bereaved families.
The Lieutenant Governor, while reviewing the damage caused by heavy rainfall, flash floods and landslides in Rajouri and Poonch, said he was deeply anguished by the loss of lives in the natural calamity. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. He also directed all departments to work round the clock in coordination to ensure rescue, relief and restoration efforts continue without interruption.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed profound grief over the demise of Ramprasad Kabra, father of Additional Chief Secretary, Jal Shakti Department and Financial Commissioner (Revenue), Shaleen Kabra. In his condolence message, the Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to Shaleen Kabra and the bereaved family, praying for eternal peace to the departed soul and strength to the family to bear the irreparable loss.
