Several officers transferred, promoted and repatriated; fresh postings ordered with immediate effect
SRINAGAR, AUGUST 31 :
The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered a significant reshuffle of police officers in the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Jammu and Kashmir, involving transfers, fresh postings, promotions and repatriation of officers to the Home Department.
The orders were issued through Government Order No. 47-JK-GAD(Vig) of 2026, dated August 31, 2026, by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government.
As per the order, Peerzada Aijaz Ahmad, JKPS, presently serving as Additional Superintendent of Police, SIA Kashmir, has been transferred and posted in the Anti-Corruption Bureau against an available vacant post.
Mudasir Ahmed Tramboo, JKPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police currently posted in the ACB, has been promoted and posted as Superintendent of Police in the Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K.
In another major change, SSP Zahoor Ahmad Wani and SSP Ayaz Ahmad Sheikh, both serving in the ACB, have been repatriated to the Home Department for further posting.
Four Dy.SPs posted in ACB
The government has also ordered the posting of four Deputy Superintendents of Police in the Anti-Corruption Bureau against available vacancies.
The officers are.Umer Rashid (JKPS-155782) — transferred from CID CI Budgam.Swati Sharma (JKPS-125706) — transferred from Dy.SP Political SB Jammu..Showkat Zarger (ARP-981650) — transferred from JKAP 5th Battalion.Manzoor Ahmad (EXK-951950) — transferred from AC Home Guards, Kulgam.
Inspectors promoted as Dy.SPs
The order further provides for the promotion and posting of two Inspectors presently serving in the ACB.
Ashwani Kumar Angotra (EXJ-986443) and Yog Raj (EXJ005608) have been promoted as Deputy Superintendents of Police and posted in the Anti-Corruption Bureau, J&K.
Three Dy.SPs repatriated
Meanwhile, three Deputy Superintendents of Police currently posted in the ACB have been repatriated to the Home Department for further assignment.
They have been identified as Sagar Singh (EX3-935624), Gurmeet Singh (EXJ-005598) and Narinder Singh (EXJ-925463).
The government said the reshuffle has been carried out in the interest of administration, with reference to the minutes of the meeting of the Designated Committee held on August 5, 2026.
The transfers, promotions, postings and repatriations shall take effect with immediate effect. (KNC)
