Meeting to Be Chaired by Dr Farooq Abdullah; CM Omar Abdullah to Attend

Srinagar, September 19 :

The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) has convened a Legislature Party meeting of its elected members and Independent legislators supporting the government on Sunday, September 20, 2026, in Srinagar.

According to a communication issued by NC Chief Whip Mubarik Gul, the meeting will be held at 4:30 PM at the Banquet Hall, Srinagar.

The meeting will be chaired by Dr Farooq Abdullah, President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, in the presence of Omar Abdullah, Leader of the Legislature Party and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

The communication states that the meeting will include Hon’ble Members of the J&K Legislative Assembly belonging to the National Conference as well as Independent Members supporting the government.

All concerned legislators have been requested to make themselves available and attend the meeting at the scheduled date, time and venue.

The meeting comes as the ruling party prepares to deliberate on legislative and government-related matters. The specific agenda for the meeting, however, has not been detailed in the communication.

The notice, bearing reference number MG/M1/621, is dated September 19, 2026, and has been issued under the signature of Mubarik Gul, Chief Whip, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference.

Earlier this year, NC legislature meetings convened by the party leadership were also held ahead of Assembly business to coordinate the party’s legislative strategy.
