Sopore, December 05 :

A man working with BSF as a contractor was held with unauthorized cash of Rs 5 lakh in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday, officials said here.

Official sources told that the man identified as Ishfaq Ahmed Khan son of Abdul Aziz was held along with cash of Rs 5 lakh during frisking in Sopore today.

They said that Ishfaq is working as a contractor with BSF’s 91 BN in Nougam area of Handwara.

Meanwhile, a senior police officer said that they intercepted a person and recovered a cash amount of Rs 5 lakh from his possession. “The person is under custody for further questioning,” the officer said. KNS
