NC President Says Omar Abdullah Raised Attacks on Kashmiri Buses With Haryana CM, Calls for Action Against Miscreants
Budgam, October 19 :
National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah on Sunday said the much-awaited Cabinet expansion in Jammu and Kashmir would take place after the Lieutenant Governor returns, attributing the delay to his health condition.
Addressing a workers’ convention in Budgam, Abdullah said the Cabinet expansion had not taken place as the Lieutenant Governor had been unwell.
“There has been no Cabinet expansion because the Lieutenant Governor has been unwell. The expansion will take place when he returns,” Abdullah said.
His remarks come amid continued attention on the expansion of the Council of Ministers in Jammu and Kashmir, with the issue remaining significant in the region’s political landscape.
Omar Abdullah Raises Bus Attacks With Haryana CM
Reacting to reported attacks on buses carrying Kashmiris, Farooq Abdullah said Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had taken up the matter with his Haryana counterpart to ensure that such incidents were not repeated.
Abdullah expressed concern over attempts by certain individuals to disturb communal harmony and create unrest.
“There are miscreants in the country who want to create chaos,” he said.
He indicated that the matter had been raised at the appropriate level, with the objective of preventing further incidents and ensuring the safety of those travelling in buses.
The reported attacks have raised concerns over the safety of Kashmiri travellers outside Jammu and Kashmir, prompting calls for effective intervention by the concerned authorities to prevent harassment and maintain communal harmony.(KNC)
