Srinagar, December 12 :

People’s Democratic Party president, Mehbooba Mufti was on Sunday denied the permission to hold youth convention at her Gupkar residence in Srinagar, sources said here.

Source told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that Mehbooba Mufti was denied permission to hold the PDP’s youth convention, which was scheduled to be held today at 11 am at her Fairview House Gupkar.

An order issued by executive magistrate 1st class south Srinagar stated that youth convention which is to be held by PDP at Gupkar is not allowed.

“In view of the report received by the office of Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar and Covid -19 restrictions in place. It is hereby ordered that the scheduled youth conference that is to be held by PDP at Gupkar is hereby not allowed,” it reads.

The order further reads that as such Station House Officer Police Station Ram Munshi Bagh is hereby directed to ensure that no such event takes place at Gupkar without permission of the competent
authority. (KNS)
