Baramulla: Sahitya Akademi New Delhi in Collaboration with Adbee Markaz Kamraz Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday organised  one day symposium  on veteran poet, critic, scholar and writer Prof Dr. Mashal Sultanpuri at Head office of Adbee Markaz Kamraz Jammu and Kashmir at  Kanispora Baramulla.
The function was presided over by well-known theatre Director, playwright and President Adbee Markaz Kamraz, M Amin Bhat ,while as well known broadcaster and farmer Secretary J& K Cultural Accademy Dr Rafiq Masoodi participated as guest of honour .Others who spoke in the event include  Convenor Kashmiri Advisory Board Mr Gh Nabi Aatish, Fayaz Tilgami, Shahid Delnavi , Shabir Ahmad Shabir, Gh Ahamad Dildar, Shabnam Tilgami, Dr Shaista Ahmad (Member Kashmiri Advisory Board) and Mansoor Muntazir. Prof Shugufta Nasreen and Masood Shadab General Secretary Adbee Markaz Kamraz and Member Kashmiri Advisory Board  Shabnam Tilgami presented vote of thanks on the occasion, he also conducted the proceeding of the program. In the beginning of the program former convenor Sahitya Akdami Kashmiri Advisory Board Dr Aziz Hajini was remembered and Duaiya session was conducted for the peace of his soul. And regarding symposium Prof on Mashal sultanpuri , the Convenor Kashmiri Advisory Board Mr Gh Nabi Aatish in his online message paid rich tributes to prof Mashal Sultanpuri. Mr G N Aatish said that Mishal sultanpur’s contribution to Kashmiri language and literature would be remembered for long . He said that due to Covid-19 and ailing condition of former convener late Dr Aziz Hajini, the akademi could not go ahead with the planned programs during the past  two- years.However dozens of  programmes were conducted online during last 2-3 months  and today’s  program is first’ offline program in Kashmir division and 2nd in J&K  as one offline program was conducted in Jammu Division during last month.He assured the audience/writers that Akademi will try it’s best to bridge the gap and all the necessary programmes would be organised.All the speakers remembered Dr Mashal Sultanpuri for his contribution to Kashmiri language and literature,The speakers said that Mishal Sultanpuri Sahab has contributed not only in the fields of language and literature but also has always played a vital role in over all development of the society and in developing the educationally backward areas.Many speakers said that Mishal Sultanpuri Sahab was the best teacher of his times and a social reformer.In his presidential remarks AMK president M Amin Bhat said that Mashal sultanpori was a cultural icon whose mission needs to be taken forward for which AMK under the patronage of Sahitya Akademi shall continue to work dedicatedly.Guest of honour Dr Rafiq Masoodi besides  paying rich tributes to Mashal sahib congratulated Sahitya Akademi for holding such an important symposium.The glaxy of writers, Poets, Scholars and intellectuals from  different corners of Kashmir vally joined  the seminar.The participants worth to mention include, Dr rafiq masoodi۔ , Javid Iqbal Mawry ۔Zahoor Hygami۔Aadil ismail۔Jameel Ansari۔Majeed Majazi۔Ramzan jawher۔Farooq Shaheen۔Khursheed khayal۔Gh Ah Dildar۔Syed Nadim Bukhari, Prof Shugufta Nasreen ., Nasir Zameer, Hasrat Hafiz ۔ Qazi Gh Mohd Gulshan۔Gh Mohd Tawheedi Gh Hassan Darvesh ۔Rashid Roshan۔Majroh Kashmiri Gh Hassan Ajmi۔Zameer Ansari۔Bashir Tahir۔Mohd Akber Dar۔Gh Rassol Dar۔Mansoor Muntazir۔Masood sSadab ۔Shubnum Gulzar۔ Peer Sajad Ahmad۔Mushtaq Sopori۔,Ibni Shahbaz۔Gh Nabi Shakir۔Gh Mohd Mahir۔Muzamil Bashir Masoodi۔Khalid Bashir۔Anzar Muhjoo ,Ishrat Gul and many more poets and literature lovers.
