Baramulla, December 16 :
Despite strict guidelines and SOPs in view of the Covid-19 pandemic for no in-person or on-site teaching, coaching centres in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district continue to function smoothly for in-person teaching, allege parents.
Scores of parents while talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), said that coaching centre’s are enrolling students for the classes and are taking at least 50% of the fee. “Administration must come clear whether these institutions are going to run smoothly or the COVID restrictions order would be in place for future course as well,” they said.
They said that if the administration has put restrictions for in-person teachings under Covid guidelines for these institutions, then how can these coaching centres take hefty amounts from them on the pretext of regular classwork.
Notably, as per the guidelines issued by the State Executive Committee, coaching centers for Civil Services, Engineering and NEET shall be permitted with limited in-person teaching for fully vaccinated staff, while al other coaching centres shall continue to remain closed for onsite or in-person teaching.
Meanwhile, chief education officer Baramulla, when contacted told KNS that except for civil services, engineering and NEET coaching institutes no other coaching institution is allowed for in-person teaching.
He said that they will look into the matter, as for now no order has been issued regarding opening of coaching institutes. (KNS)
