AD Tourism Gulmarg says all arrangements in place for new year celebrations; ‘Inquiries for hotel bookings have picked up after recent snowfall, we expect a good winter season, says president hoteliers club Gulmarg

Gulmarg, December 27 :

Following fresh snowfall at famous Ski resort of Gulmarg in Baramulla district, tourist footfall has increased to celebrate New Year eve, officials said here.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that preparation by the tourism department to celebrate new year eve at the Ski resort are in full swing, while large number of tourists too have arrived in Gulmarg.

Meanwhile, tourists who have reached to Gulmarg from different states said that they have come to Gulmarg to celebrate new year eve and they were excited.

President hoteliers club Gulmarg, Mukhtar Ahmad Shah said inquiries for hotel booking have picked up after early snowfall and they expect a good winter season.

He said that the credit for promotion of tourism industry in the valley goes to the tourism department.

He also said that after recent snowfall in Gulmarg skiing activities and other winter activities have picked up and so have the hotel booking.

Meanwhile, assistant director tourism Gulmarg Javeed-ul-Rehman told KNS that Gulmarg is ready to host new year celebrations and a large gathering of tourists have reached to Gulmarg,.

He said that all the arrangements have been finalised for new year celebrations. KNS
