The Anti‑Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday apprehended In‑charge of the Geology and Mining Department a resident of Sada‑Kadal, Srinagar, while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.

Official sources told news agency JKNS that, Ghulam Mustafa Malik, who is serving as In‑charge of the Geology and Mining Department for the Safapora zone in Ganderbal, was caught red‑handed at Manasbal.

He was caught while demanding and accepting a bribe amounting to ₹10,000. Malik is currently serving as the Incharge of the Geology and Mining Department for the Safapora zone in Ganderbal district, official sources said.

“Acting on a specific complaint, ACB laid a trap and caught the accused official while accepting the bribe money,” an official sources said. An investigation into the matter is underway.
