Baramulla, 14 June 2024:

Kamraz Literary Center at Kanspura Baramulla today organized a grand function in memory of its founders and predecessors. The ceremony was presided over by renowned historian Professor Farooq Fayaz.

On this occasion, Mission Director of Jal Jeevan Mission, Dr. G. N. Itu, visited the Presidency House as the Chief Guest. Renowned poet and writer Syed Saaduddin Saadi, Patron of Kamraz Literary Center Dr. Rafiq Masoudi were also present in the House. The ceremony started with the recitation of Holy Quran, which was blessed by Vice President Javed Viqbal Maori, while Shahnawaz Hussain Mir addressed the audience with Naat-e-Nabi.

In his welcome speech, President of Kamraz Literary Center Muhammad Amin Butt reviewed the valuable services of Kamraz Literary Center and paid great tribute to the founders and ancestors. In the ceremony, many appealed to the officials of Kashmir University to revise the MK Kashmiri curriculum to align it with modern educational and technological requirements.

In the ceremony, Dr. G.N. Itu, the chief guest, expressed his views. That I have witnessed the performance of Kamraz literary center for the past several years and I have no shame in saying that the members and officials associated with it have sincerely worked for the aims and objectives of this organization and their achievement. Keeping the torch burning for the last half century, the area is enviable and worthy of emulation for other areas outside of Kamraz. He further said that it is my wish that the literary center Kumraz should keep its centrality in North Kashmir and include other areas of Jammu and Kashmir as well.

Delivering his presidential speech, Professor Farooq Fayaz said that history does not forgive people who make the mistake of forgetting their ancestors and their thoughts. He described this effort of literary center Kamraz as the beginning of a wonderful tradition and emphasized that this tradition should be extended to other districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
