BARAMULLA , DESEMBER ,09 ,
Adv. Neelofar Masood, President SJS Parents Association Bla, has expressed deep appreciation for the swift and effective action taken by DYSP Baramulla and SHO Baramulla, which led to the recovery of 1 kilogram of heroin from the premises of Government Medical College (GMC) Baramulla.
In her statement, Adv. Neelofar Masood termed the operation a highly commendable effort, noting that the timely response of the police has prevented a potentially catastrophic blow to the youth and social fabric of Baramulla. “This is not merely a successful seizure—it is a lifesaving intervention,” she said.
She further expressed serious concern over the recovery being made from within a medical institution. “A medical college is a place of learning and healing. The presence of narcotics in such a sacred space is deeply distressing and calls for a thorough, transparent, and uncompromising investigation,” she added.
Adv. Masood urged that all individuals connected with the consignment—whether internal or external—be identified and brought to justice. She emphasized that this incident must be investigated with the highest level of seriousness to uncover the entire chain behind this operation.
Acknowledging the efforts of the officers, she remarked, “The professionalism, alertness, and dedication shown by the Baramulla Police deserve the highest appreciation. Their action has once again strengthened the community’s trust in law-enforcement agencies and reinforced our shared resolve to fight the drug menace.”
Adv. Neelofar Masood also reiterated her commitment, to support every lawful effort aimed at protecting the youth and ensuring a drug-free society.
