Srinagar: Urging political parties to speak for the legitimate right of people of Jammu and Kashmir, AIP has asked Congress Leader Rahul Gandhi to clear his stance on few important issues rather playing with the words and using Kashmir as a battle field to counter Modis brand of Nationalism.
AIP Spokesperson Firdous Baba sai that Kashmiris will like to seek the response from Rahul Gandhi and Gupkar Alliance Leaders on following important issues before the Bharat Jhodo Yatra culminates in Srinagar, 1. Why is Congress talking about statehood but is hiding article 370 and 35a. 2. Why is Congress not part of Gupkar Alliance despite Gupkar Alliance being part of Bharat Jhodo Yatra. 3. Will Congress restore the article 370 and 35a if it retains power. 4. Why did Congress oppose Modi’s Lahore visit in 2015 and why does party become more critical of Modi’s Government if he on some occasions hints of peace with Pakistan. 5. Why has Congress been silence on release of political prisoners of Jammu and Kashmir. 6. Why didn’t Congress took any step forward to implement the recommendations of various working groups on Jammu and Kashmir established by Manmohan Singh Government and what happened to the report of three interlocutors Radha Kumar, Dilip Padhgokar and M M Ansari appointed by the Congress Government in 2010. 7. Does Congress support NC’s demand of restoration of 1953 Status as a resolution to Kashmir issue.
8. Why does Congress speak about ED and CBI and not about Misuse of NIA and other agencies. 9. Will NC and PDP like to hoist earnest while Jammu and Kashmir state’s state flag along with the tri colour in Srinagar on culminating Bharat Jhodo Yatra.
Spokesperson further said that these answers are much waited as while BJP had an open agenda to abrogate article 370 and 35a, Congress has always stabbed people of Jammu and Kashmir from the back. Spokesperson Firdous Baba added that answers are much waited to make people understand the vision of Congress in J&K as the party has a long history of breaking promises since 1947 and has infact reduced the so called special status to a skeleton.
Unless Congress and Gupkar Alliance will not clear their contradictions and come out with open and transparent Kashmir policy their every move onwards on Kashmir would mean nothing accept a mockery۔
