Meeting Begins; NC, Cong MLAs Arrive, Some Leaders to Skip Meet

An emergency meeting of the Chief Minister’s alliance partners began on Thursday evening as Chief Minister Omar Abdullah drove to Fairview Gupkar, the official residence of the Deputy CM, to chair the session.

As per details available with news agency, MLAs from National Conference and Congress were seen reaching the venue shortly after the CM’s arrival.

Congress MLA’s including Nizamudin Bhat, Irfan Hafeez Lone, Peerzada Muhammad Syed are also attending the meet.

However News Agency that has learnt that NC MLA Ahsan Pardesi, Congress leader Tariq Hameed Karra, and former JKPCC chief Ghulam Ahmad Mir are expected to skip the meeting.

The meeting was called to discuss emerging political developments, including recent transfers made by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Eid day—moves that fall under the CM’s domain—as well as evolving alliance strategies ahead of the polls.
