Jammu, Jan 30 :

Bhartiya Janta Party state General Secretary Ashok Koul on Friday said that all stakeholders have been taken on board by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ahead of the Union Budget, while similar consultations are underway for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir budget.

Speaking to reporters, Koul, as per news agency Kashmir News Corner (KNC), said that various sections of society were consulted on budget-related matters.

“All stakeholders have been taken on board by the Finance Minister of India. People from different sectors have shared their suggestions on what should be included in the budget,” he said.

Referring to the Jammu and Kashmir budget, scheduled to be presented on February 6 or 7, Koul said the Chief Minister is also holding extensive consultations.

“Our Chief Minister is interacting with all stakeholders and associations. Discussions have been held with lawyers, traders, and several other associations. A major revised, people-friendly budget will be presented on February 1,” he added.

On reports of Kashmiris being attacked in different parts of the country, Koul strongly condemned such incidents.

“We condemn these attacks. Our Prime Minister and Home Minister have also condemned them. This should not happen. Our country is one, and every citizen has the right to travel, live, and conduct business anywhere in India,” he said.

He further said that the Chief Minister has spoken to the concerned Chief Ministers, and party leaders have also taken up the matter.

“Such incidents should not be repeated. These acts are wrong, and we strongly condemn them,” Koul added. (KNC)
