A PDD LINEMAN WORKING AMID SNOWFALL TO RESTORE ELECTRICITY: PIC Karamat Qayoom

Baramulla: Amid heavy snowfall and biting cold, PDD Department’s restoration teams has restored the power supply in record time in most of areas except few hilly areas in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Taking lead by risking their lives, braving cold and snowfall, led by Assistant Executive Engineer Yasir Kakroo, JE Amir Ahmad,PDD employees particularly casual labors who worked tirelessly during this heaviest snowfall and made possible to restore the power supply in Baramulla.

“Restoration team Baramulla has managed to restore Feeders in Baramulla except few DTs on some feeders. We have been successful in restoring at least 85% area so far,” AEE Baramulla Sub Division Yasir Kakroo said.

The people from north Kashmir’s Baramulla district have hailed the efforts of PDD employees particularly casual labors who worked tirelessly during this heaviest snowfall and made possible to restore the power supply in whole district.

People from different walks of life have appreciated the bravery and dedication of the linemen of PDD Dept for serving people, risking their own life by climbing electric poles during the heavy snowfall and fixing the electric lines only to make lives of common people comfortable.

The restoration team first and field employees of the PDD Dept ensured the restoration of electricity in entire district, except few villages in district as their transformers were damaged by the snowfall.
