Acting tough against social crimes, Anantnag Police have arrested four gamblers from a gambling site and seized ₹51400 stake money.
Acting promptly upon a specific information received by Anantnag Police regarding a gambling in the jurisdiction of police Post Bus Stand. Police party led by I/C PP Bus Stand raided the said gambling site near Baitul Mukarram Masjid KP road Anantnag and arrested four gamblers. Officers have seized stake money of ₹ 51400 and playing cards from the possession of gamblers.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 300/2021 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Anantnag and investigation has been initiated.
Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
