A soldier died in a shed collapse here at 15 Corps headquarters on Thursday afternoon.
Officials told Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) that soldier identified as Altaf Ahmad Belt no. 6946767M son of Muhammad Umer, a resident of Agri Virajpat area of Karnataka state received critical injures in shed collapse that took place in backdrop of heavy snowfall.
They said Atlaf was immediately rushed to hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Pertinently, life in the valley came to a grinding halt due to a heavy snow spell on Wednesday. There have been reports of loss of life and property, besides total disruption of electricity across the valley.
