Srinagar, June 05 :

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that the way militancy is being used a tool against innocent people, makes it clear that they want to provoke security forces to do something out of desperation.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), While speaking during a function at the SKICC, LG Sinha said that he wants to assure the people of Jammu and Kashmir that security forces will never take any action against the innocent people.

“But the way militancy is being used as a tool against innocent people, makes it clear that they (militants) want to provoke security forces to do something out of desperation,” he added.

He said that militants are doing such target killings out of desperation and want security to do the same in desperation.

“But I believe that the policy of J&K administration and security forces is that they will never take any action against innocent civilians.

He also said that as long as people of Jammu and Kashmir do not condemn such acts by the militants, things will not be normal here.

Sinha said that peace will only prevail in Jammu and Kashmir when people will come forward and condemn such acts by the militants.

“I want to appeal to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to condemn such acts by these militants, so that peace will prevail in Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.

Without naming Pakistan, Sinha said that neighbours are hell bent to deteriorate situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
