URI ,DECEMBER, 02 :
In a joint op of Army and JKP, upon an input of infiltration/smuggling of arms/ ammunition /contraband in Rewand nallah area Kamalkote, parties of Army 8 RR and J&K Police today launched a CASO around the LC. There were indications of initiation of early warning system installed by Army and some fires were also spotted. Further search led to the recovery of following arms/ ammunition and 10 packets of suspected contraband.

AK Ammunition – 117 rounds

Pistol Chinese magazine-02
Suspected Contraband -10 sealed packets.
Case under relevant sections has been registered in Police Station Uri and investigation set in motion.
