Bandipora police and civil administration continueing their efforts against illegal mining under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr Owais Ahmad -IAS and SSP Bandipora Shri Mohammad Zahid -JKPS seized 04 vehicles and detained 04 persons in Lankreshipora Nalla for illegal extraction/ transportation of minerals.

Bandipora police recieved a specific information that some persons are illegally extracting minerals at Lankreshipora Nallah .Acting on this information police team of PS Bandipora led by SHO P/S Bandipora & DYSP HQRS Bandipora along with teams of Mining and Geology Department seized 04 Tippers and arrested 04 persons .The said vehicles were being used in transportation of minerals illegally extracted.In this connection FIR No. 74/2021 under IPC and MMRD Act was registered in PS Bandipora against the violators and further investigation has been taken up.
