Baramulla police has busted terrorist recruitment module in kreeri area of Baramulla.In a press Statement issued here police Spokesman said that,On 10 Sep 2023 , on a specific input of terrorist movement in kreeri area , a joint Naka was established at Chak Tapper by SOG Kreeri, 29 RR and 52 RR. During naka checking suspicious movement of three persons coming from Chak Tapper towards Kreeri by foot was observed. While seeing police party and security forces, the said individuals tried to flee from the spot but alert naka party apprehended them tactfully. During preliminary questioning, they were identified as Lateef Ahmad Dar S/O Mohammad Yousuf Dar R/O- Najibhat, Baramulla, Showkat Ahmad Lone S/O Ghulam Rasool Lone R/O Pusnaag, Baramulla, Ishrat Rasool D/O Ghulam Rasool Lone R/O Pusnaag, Baramulla.

During their search 3 hand grenades & 30 AK-47 live rounds were from their possession.

All the three individuals were working with LeT outfit as Terrorist Associates and on further questioning it came forth that they had identified four youths in the general area of Kreeri and were about to get them active in terrorist ranks in near future. The above three individuals were the mastermind of the recruitment module in general area of Kreeri and were also in touch with active terrorists Umar Lone and FT Usman.

In this regard, case under sections UA(P) & Arms Act has been registered in PS Kreeri and investigation has been taken up.
