Baramulla, February 22, 2025:

In a bid to curb drug abuse and promote awareness among the youth, Baramulla Police, under the leadership of SDPO Kreeri, organized a Drug De-addiction Awareness Programme at the Community Hall Wagoora.

The event focused on educating students and faculty about the severe consequences of drug addiction, both physically and mentally, while also discussing preventive measures to combat substance abuse.

DySP Javid Ahmad, SDPO Kreeri, and PSI Amir Manzoor, DO Wagoora, were the key speakers at the programme. They provided valuable insights into the root causes of drug addiction, its impact on individuals and society, and the role of youth in countering this growing menace. The officers urged students to stay vigilant and actively participate in spreading awareness within their communities.

Baramulla Police reiterated its commitment to eliminating drug addiction through continuous awareness campaigns and community engagement, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in building a drug-free society.
