Baramulla, 24 November, 2025.
Baramulla Police organized 14 Police–Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meetings across the district to strengthen community engagement and promote inclusive, people-centric policing.
The outreach initiative aimed to directly interact with citizens at 14 places, to understand local issues through face to face dialogue. Residents, youth, students, and community elders participated in significant numbers and raised concerns related to civic amenities, electricity supply, damaged poles, lack of playgrounds, and the need for better educational facilities. Officers assured that these matters would be promptly taken up with the concerned departments and that minor grievances have been addressed on the spot.
During the meetings, officers briefed participants about the newly implemented criminal laws, urged vigilance against suspicious activities, and highlighted joint efforts to curb drug abuse under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. Participants appreciated the approachable policing style of Baramulla Police and pledged full cooperation in maintaining peace and promoting a drug-free environment.
Baramulla Police reiterated its commitment to continuing such PCPG outreach programmes to strengthen mutual trust, enhance service delivery, and further improve police–public coordination across the district.
