A biker was killed and his pillion rider was critically injured after he lost control on speed and rammed into a tree along road side in Watergam Rafiabad area of North Kashmir Baramulla district on Sunday afternoon officials said.
They told news agency that in the incident biker Musaib Ahmad Bhat (23) son of Abdul Hameed Bhat of Baghi Rehmat Iqbal Nagar Sopore and Rashib Zahoor Saboon (21) son of Zahoor Ahmad of Baghi Rehmat Iqbal Nagar Sopore were injured.
Both were shifted to hospital where Musaib succumbed to injuries while Saboon was referred to SMHS Srinagar for advanced treatment, they said.
Meanwhile, police have started investigation in this regard.
