Body of woman who jumped into river Jhelum, following a fire incident, has been fished out, officials said.

They told GNS that soon after the report was received police, SDRF assisted by locals launched a rescue operation which culminated with the retrieval of body from the river near Challan Boniyar reservoir.

The woman identified as Tanzeema Begum, daughter-in-law of the house owner, which caught fire jumped into river Jhelum out of panic at Ijhara Pehlipora in Boniyar Uri. (GNS)
