RAFAIABAD ,SEPTEMBER 12 :
At least three family members of a nomad family from Rajouri were killed while two others went missing who too are believed to be died after massive cloudburst hit Kafarnar Bahak in the upper reaches of Rafiabad in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.
Deputy Inspector General of Police North Kashmir Range, Sujit Kumar informed that in a tragic incident, a nomad family of Haji Bashir Bakarwal of Rajouri died after massive cloudburst washed them away at Kafarnar bahak Rafiabad.
He added that there were five members, but only one body has been found so far. Others are not expected to have been survived.
The cloud burst trigger flash floods which submerged playfield and several government buildings and school buildings at Watergam Rafaibabad,locals said.
Rescue teams are searching for four others people, who are feared to be buried under the debris have been launched as police teams of Police Station Dangiwacha, Sopore on way.
“The area is very remote, and mobile connectivity is also feeble.Further details are awaited,” he added.
