Chairman HAS lodges complaint against the butcher for looting customers during these tough times

Srinagar: A butcher was caught on camera selling meat at exorbitant rates at Qamarwari market near police station Qamarwari and Barathan police station.
The butcher in video clearly says that they sell mutton Rs 550 per kg which was objected by customers after Chairman Human Aid Society Kashmir Bashir Ahmed Mir objected the butcher for selling the meat against fixed government rate which is Rs 535.
“As I was recording the statment of butcher who with impunity told customers that he sells meat Rs 550.I objected the butcher as despite goverment fixed rate why he is selling meat at exorbitant rates, the butcher attacked me and damaged my cellphone,” said Chairman Human Aid Society Kashmir Bashir Mir.
Later, a formal complaint against the butcher was lodged in police station Barathan Srinagar.
He siad that he as forwarded the video to Advisor Bashir Ahmed Khan and DC Srinagar Ajaiz Asad for action against the errant butcher who loots gullible public in these tough times.
” Government says customers should lodge complaint if anyone trader resort to selling things on exorbitant rates. The butcher is openly looting customers now it turn of authorities to check and book the butcher,” he added.
