BARAMULLA 21 JUNE 2021:

The department of food civil supplies and consumer affairs( FCS&CA) supplies today sealed a mutton shop in Baramulla market in North kashmirfor selling meat on exorbitant rates.

On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, Bhupinder Kumar, action was initiated against the butcher after a customer complained that butcher charging 600 rupees per kilogram of meat.

Assistant Director CA&PD Baramull, Sheikh Tariq, said that shop of the erring butcher was immediately sealed. He added strict action will be taken against violators.

Pertinently, the administration has fixed the retail price of mutton at 535 rupees per kilogram without offal and 490 rupees with it.
