SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 28,:

Claiming that one month salary has been unfairly put on hold by the Director, scores of employees Tuesday staged a protest against cash rich Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).

The employees also observed pen-down strike at Rambagh based office here in Kashmir capital Srinagar.

One of the protesting employees told news agency Kashmir News Trust that salaries of 17 employees from Jammu Division and 52 from Kashmir Division have been withheld for a month for unknown reasons.

“Despite serving the department round the clock, we have been facing mental harassment. We don’t know on what grounds salary of employees has been put on hold,” the protesting employees said.

They said they will continue to protest till their salary is not released.

When contacted, Director DIPR, Rahul Pandey informed that he is busy in a meeting and will talk later. (KNT)
