Baramulla Police has taken serious cognisance of a deliberately fabricated and malicious video being circulated on various social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter). The misleading content is being shared through the following link: https://x.com/i/status/2015455388687339927
After thorough verification at all levels, it has been conclusively established that the video in question is completely false, misleading, and fabricated, with a clear intent to misinform the public, provoke mistrust, and disturb public order.
The circulation of such fake and concocted content constitutes a grave offence, aimed at maligning institutions and creating unnecessary panic. Baramulla Police views such acts as deliberate and motivated, and will not tolerate the misuse of social media platforms for spreading misinformation.
During monitoring and verification, several misinformation-spreading social media accounts involved in amplifying this fake content have been identified and flagged. Some of the prominent handles include:

It is pertinent to mention that Serial No. 3 has already been withheld in India in response to a legal demand, reflecting the seriousness of the matter and ongoing enforcement action.
⚠️ Strict legal action shall be initiated against any individual, page, or social media handle found involved in the creation, circulation, or amplification of this fake content.
⚠️ Offenders shall be proceeded against under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act, and no leniency will be shown.
Social media platforms are under active and continuous monitoring, and efforts are underway to identify, trace, and take lawful action against all remaining perpetrators.
The general public is strongly advised to refrain from sharing unverified or misleading information and to rely only on official communications issued by the District Administration and Baramulla Police.
