DC B’la leads a ceremonial reading of the Preamble to officers and officials at DC office Premises

The District Administration Baramulla celebrated Constitution Day with great enthusiasm and solemnity at the DC Office and other government offices of district Baramulla today.
The highlight of the celebration was the ceremonial reading of the Preamble of the Constitution, by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa which was joined by all officers and officials, underscoring a shared commitment to uphold the principles and values enshrined in the Constitution.
The occasion marked a reaffirmation of the values of justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity, which are the cornerstone of the Indian Constitution.
The DC highlighted the importance of adhering to constitutional ideals in governance and public service, underscoring the significance of justice, equality, liberty, and fraternity in promoting inclusive development and nation-building.
In addition to the DC Office, Constitution Day was observed at other key government offices across Baramulla district, including the Court Complex Baramulla and ARTO Office Sopore. At the Court Complex, the Principal District & Session Judge administered the oath to judicial officers and staff, reminding them of their pivotal role in delivering justice impartially and safeguarding constitutional rights.
At the ARTO Office Sopore, the Regional Transport Officer administered the oath to the Motor Vehicle department officials, reinforcing their commitment to public service with fairness and integrity.
Constitution Day is celebrated annually on November 26 to honor the adoption of the Constitution in 1949, which laid the foundation for India’s journey as a sovereign, democratic republic.
