The Construction Contractors Association R&B Baramulla on Tuesday held a protest demonstration inside the premises of R&B over new norms regarding renewal of cards of contractors.
Scores of R&B contractors concerned over the implement of new norms and described new laws as an obnoxious piece of superimposed legislation.
They demanded immediate roll back of such laws.
The protesting contractors while condemned the domineering and unacceptable laws which as per them are being enforced upon the Contractors.
We protest against such laws including procedure for renewal of Contractors Registration card and Ban on movement of raw material and work done claims and areas of contractors since 2014 are still out standing.
The protesting contractors threatened to boycott work at all the tenders and lock down all the district treasury offices if the Government will not take any serious decision in favour of them.
