29th case of Mucormycosis confirmed 314,316; death toll mounts to 4,296, active cases decrease to 5,630, recovery rate at 96.84 percent

SRINAGAR,, JUNE 26 :

The Jammu and Kashmir Union territory on Saturday witnessed 05 deaths due to Covid-19 while as 342 fresh positive cases were also reported, taking the number of total active cases in the UT to 5,630

With 05 more deaths the death toll in the UT has reached to 4,296 and 342 fresh positive cases reported on Friday has pushed the tally of positive cases to 314,316

Of the exact number of 314,316 cases, 195,152 are from Kashmir division and 119,164 from Jammu division. Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 342 new cases, 235 belong to Kashmir division while as 107 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 195,152 including 189,430 recoveries and 2,200 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 119,164 including 114,960 recoveries and 2,096 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 5,630 including 3,522 from Kashmir division and 2,108 from Jammu division.

With 864 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 304,390 which is 96.84 percent of the total cases.

“Cases tested positive in J&K include 84 from Srinagar, 09 from Baramulla, 23 from Budgam, 29 from Pulwama, 18 from Kupwara, 24 from Anantnag, 14 from Bandipora, 18 from Ganderbal, 15 from Kulgam and 01 from Shopian in Kashmir division while as 107 from Jammu division include 11 from Jammu, 02 from Udhampur, 15 from Rajouri, 10 from Doda, 10 from Kathua, 01 from Samba, 13 from Kishtwar, 14 from Poonch, 12 from Ramban and 19 from Reasi,” officials disclosed

Meanwhile, authorities on Saturday said that that one fresh case of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and toll of total cases of Mucormycosis has reached to 29.

Out of 05 deaths reported today, 02 died in GMC Rajouri, 01 in DH Ramban, 01 in SMVDNH Katra & 01 in SMHS Srinagar.

As per officials figures, 69,690 positive cases including 824 deaths and 67,824 recoveries are from Srinagar, 23,160 including 278 deaths and 22,456 recoveries are from Baramulla, 22,469 including 21,847 recoveries and 203 deaths are from Budgam, 14,819 including 14,326 recoveries and 188 deaths are from Pulwama, 13,711 including 161 deaths and 13,176 recoveries are from Kupwara, 15,981 including 15,446 recoveries and 198 deaths are from Anantnag, 9,246 cases including 8,959 and 100 deaths are from Bandipora, 9,539 including 9,268 recoveries and 76 deaths are from Ganderbal, 10,991 including 10,656 recoveries and 114 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,546 including 5,472 recoveries and 58 deaths are from Shopian.

In Jammu division, 52,338 including 50,545 recoveries and 1,132 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,128 including 10,905 recoveries and 131 deaths are from Udhampur, 10,662 including 10,237 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Rajouri, 6,751 including 6,347 recoveries and 112 deaths are from Doda, 9,190 including 8,997 recoveries and 149 deaths are from Kathua, 7,052 including 6,874 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Samba, 4,413 including 4,240 recoveries and 42 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,058 including 5,701 recoveries and 88 deaths are from Poonch, 5,800 including 5,612 recoveries and 62 deaths are from Ramban and 5,772 including 5,502 recoveries and 42 deaths are from Reasi.

As per the daily information bulletin 2,383,500 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 20,766 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 5,630 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 2,144,050 persons have completed surveillance period and 208,758 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 9,774,384 samples are available. Out of 9,774,384 the number of samples tested negative stands at 9,460,068 while as 314,316 have tested positive, among them 5,630 persons are active, 304,390 persons have recovered and 4,296 persons have died—(KNO)
