Srinagar: Dal Lake was abuzz with excitement as trainees from across India gathered for the graduation ceremony of the 2nd Water Skiing Course, organized by the Indian Institute of Skiing & Mountaineering (IISM), Gulmarg—a subsidiary of the Ministry of Tourism.
The event marked the successful conclusion of the second phase of IISM’s specialized water skiing training. A total of 25 participants completed the rigorous program, designed to nurture fresh talent and enhance technical skills in the fast-growing sport of water skiing.Notable dignitaries, including Mr. Tahir Saleem Khan (IPS), Staff Officer to IGP Kashmir, graced the occasion.
Mr. Khan congratulated the graduates and acknowledged the dedication and discipline they displayed throughout the training.Speakers at the ceremony emphasized the crucial role of adventure sports like water skiing in promoting physical fitness, leadership, and team spirit. Organizers also highlighted the importance of continued skill development in elevating India’s profile in water sports at both national and international levels.
