Islamic scholars urge Muslims to maintain brotherhood, balance their priorities properly

Sheeri: Urging Muslims to maintain brotherhood, change their priorities and refrain from creating sects within themselves, noted Islamic scholars impressed upon people to follow the Holy Quran and teachings of Prophet Mohammad SAW besides balance their priorities as Muslims across the world are confrontation immense challenges in contemporary times.This was stated in a day-long 25th annual congregation (Salaana Ijtima) and 21st Dastar Bandi ceremony of 6 students of Dar-ul-Uloom Qureshia Sheeri who completed the memorization of Holy Quran while as another teacher Muzamil Qayoom Akhoon who has written Holy Quran in three months.On this occasion, the Hafiz Quran students were conferred with the Hafiz E Quran Certificates after turbon tying and special prayers for entire Muslim community.Eminent scholars from different parts of Kashmir addressed the gathering while a large number of people participated. The renowned Islamic scholars who graces the event by their presence include Peer Abdul Hamid Haqani, Mounlan Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Naqeeb, Mohtimim Dar-ul-uloom Qureshia Sheeri Mounlana Tariq Ahmad Mishbahi, Moulana Abdul Rashid Dawoodi, Mufti Qamar-ud-din Owasi, MuftiShakeel Ahmad Sakafi,Moulana Ishaq Ahmad Nizami and other Islamic scholars and orators.Speakers on this occasion threw light on importance of education, character building brotherhood; peace and unity among the masses are the pillars of success in contemporary world.“People, irrespective of their caste and creed, community and religious beliefs, should work together and stand united for progress and development of the society. Besides parents must be given due regard and reverence as per teaching of Quran and teaching of Prophet Mohammad SAW,” a speaker said.Mufti Tariq Mishbahi said that Muslim youth should acquaint themselves with professional courses along with Madrassa based religious study to get employed in various service sectors.He also prayed for world peace and prosperity. Islam is essentially a religion of peace and true Muslims are peace loving people and killings and atrocities have absolutely no sanction in Islam, nor is there any justification whatsoever in Islam, the noble religion, for taking innocent life.“Islam is facing challenges at both external and internal front and we must confront challenges at every level. But we must change and balance our priorities properly,” speakers added.“Muslims would have to strengthen themselves by equipping themselves with contemporary and religious knowledge so that Islam could be prevented from exploitation,” they maintained.He added that Islam’s fundamental preaches stressed on peace, harmony and welfare of people.
